"Boone KOA" in Boone, North Carolina - was rated: 4

We arrived to this campground in our motorhome pulling a car/dolly. We planned our vacation months in advance and traveled two full days to reach this campground, so we were quite disappointed with several things immediately. When we arrived, we had no assistance with someone leading us to the site. We disconnected the car from the dolly and made our way down a very precarious, narrow, rutted gravel drive to the site. The road had such a deep rut to the site that I retruned to the office to request a different site. I was told that a neighboring flat site was already reserved. Reluctantly, we entered that site, listening to the motorhome groan as the frame twisted. Try as we might, we could not achieve level without lifting wheels off the ground. The septic hose required the use of an extension hose and actully lead uphill! We couldn’t put out the awning because of untrimmed trees. Several neighboring Big Rig RVers expressed their dissatisfaction with their sites. We planned to stay for a week, but departed after three days. Oh, those flat reserved sites? They remained unoccupied. Caution to large motorhomes or large trailers–this may not be your best choice.

"Travel Trailer Village at Prince William Forest Park" in Dumfries, Virginia - was rated: 8

Agree with other comments here about friendly staff and accessibility to DC, metro, etc. We parked our 38′ 5er in a pullthru in C loop, which filled the whole driveway - a couple more feet would have been nice. Room for all four slides and pickup on side. Wifi worked great, as did Verizon cell service. At these prices and location near DC, we’d definitely come back again.

"Pioneer Park Campground" in Somerset, Pennsylvania - was rated: 8

The site was level, but not overly roomy for our motorhome. The office was staffed by disinterested, but ok enough, teenagers. We had a pull through near the bathhouse which was clean and supplied the soap which I have come to find out not all bathrooms do. What surprised me was that they choose between 8 and 9 a.m. to close the bathrooms for cleaning, just the time when we wake up and want to use them each day. Very, very inconvenient for many people I would think. Large open areas in which to walk dogs was a plus. The campground is dog friendly and we have multiple dogs. The camp store was well stocked and prices were fair. There are 2 small lakes that are full of geese and it makes walking there difficult because of all the geese droppings left behind. Cable tv is available if you leave a deposit for the cable, but then the tv worked great. Internet is only available for use if you bring your laptop to the office.

"King Phillips Campground" in Lake George, New York - was rated: 8

We chose this park because of the low nightly rate. The other more popular park in Lake George would have cost double. There are new owners here. Most of the park is permanent residents although their homes are nice. Our site was shady and quiet. This park is centrally located for all activities in the Adirondacks. We would camp here again.

If your looking for fun and nice staff DON”T GO HERE We had a large group for 5 days and were really the only group there. They yelled at us for having fun. We were told we trampled the grass,(guess we were suppose to camp on the gravel road) got mud on the golf carts (it rained) they sure could take our money for 12 sites, ice etc from the store. Ran into people store owners from the town they said they would never stay there too crabby.

"Blueberry Hill RV Park" in Port Republic, New Jersey - was rated: 5

Site was flooded, manager knew site was flooded before we got there. Manager took us to the site anyway. Got stuck in site and had to have a 4-wheel drive pull us out. Manager moved us to a dry site two sites over. Why didn’t they just do that in the first place? Nice pool, nice playgound, sites are on top of each other with no privacy (better like your neibhors). Dogs everywhere, to the point of making our camp site neibhors leave early because she couldn’t sleep due to the barking. Magic show was great! Kid activites were good with a great camp activites director. Lots and lots of kids so if you don’t have any don’t go here. I won’t be back — This campgound is owned by Morgan RV resorts - I will say that once we filled out our survey they have given me a free weekend at another resort. We will see if it is any better.

"Southside RV Park" in Dillon, Montana - was rated: 9

Very nice park. The owners, Janet & Tim are very friendly & helpful. Park is meticulous. Cable is good, WiFi is good. New laundry with good prices & machines are great. She has an ironing board, table, magazines & deep laundry sink for campers convenience. Bathroom/shower house was immaculate. 2 showers, 2 toilets in the open shower house. At this time they are remodeling 1 of the 2 shower houses, so you have to walk across bridge, but it is really no problem. Nice level gravel lots & nice grass at each site. Some sites back up to creek. Only negative we had was that on weekend, owners tend to do lots of noisy work, took away from being able to relax outside.

Nice family owned place. Clean and tidy. Rules are enforced, so it is quiet at night. Friendly staff. Family oriented so there are a lot of kids around.

This park will provide directions to the Flight 93 Memorial Crash Site. After you check in at the main building, the driving area to get to your sites is kind of “reversed.” You drive on the left side of the road, going to your site, and going out. Adequate spacing (not large, but adequate) between sites. Although each section has it’s own bath house and shower, there is only one laundry area, in the main building. Regardless of where you are in the park, it’s a hike to get to the laundry. The pool is nice, deep end is 9 feet. There are some good walking trails. Interesting garbage arrangement. You put your sack of garbage out near your post and it’s picked up twice daily. The park has garbage bags if you don’t have any.

"Twin Ponds" in Flat Rock, North Carolina - was rated: 1

We were told we didn’t need reservations to stay. That should have told me something along with no campground reviews. It looks like a run down trailer park, very old and run down. The spot we were taken to had a tree half way out in the drive so I would have to jackknife trailer into the space. The web site only shows pictures of pool and game room. There is a reason for this. We were glad we didn’t leave a deposit so we did a drive through and left. We would not recommend to anyone. Woodall rated 3/2 I think that was generous. WE DID NOT STAY.
