"Charlottesville KOA" in Charlottesville, Virginia - was rated: 9

It is a nice campground in a beautiful wooded setting. It has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Interior roads, etc. were more than adequate to accommodate our 40 ft. motorhome with the tow vehicle attached. The site provided ample space for our 4 slides. The owners were very accommodating in helping us get a site [...]

Park is old and run down and check-in staff was not the most welcoming. Park is 1-1/2 blocks from Graceland (we were shocked at the area of town it was in - quite run down). We asked for phone # to Graceland and lady at desk looked at us like we were nuts. [...]

"Amarillo Ranch RV Park" in Amarillo, Texas - was rated: 6

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Rate was for Camp Club USA. We were a tad worried as we drove through the neighborhood to get to this park, but it turned out to be a nice experience. The people were very friendly and we even got free coffee and donuts the next morning. If going through Amarillo again [...]

"West Omaha KOA" in Gretna, Nebraska - was rated: 6

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

The park was clean and was easily accessible from I-80. Entry to the park was tricky. A short U-turn was required to double back from the highway in front of the park into the park entrance. The sites were wooded and easy to drive through with a Big Rig and towed vehicle. The sites were [...]

We camped here in a 38′ motor home. Hickories is a town of Owego park. The staff are great; very pleasant and helpful. There are no sewers but there is a pump out service. The bathrooms & showers are clean. As noted there are no reservations and there is a [...]

Great park with many level sites. Sewer dump and water available near restrooms. Nice hiking trails. Quiet. Very convenient to Metro for DC excursions. Easy access. A bit pricey.

"Annett’s Mono Village" in Bridgeport, California - was rated: 7

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

We heard great things about Annett’s Mono Village from a few different people who have been camping there for years. I was nervous about towing the trailer all the way out there (459 miles from our home) without a reservation (they don’t take them) and with the negative reviews posted on this site. We found [...]

"Holiday RV Park" in College Station, Texas - was rated: 5

Although this is a clean campground, it has little to offer. Noise is most disturbing. You hear trains all night and road construction during the day. It…s close to Texas A&M. It may be okay for a few days but that…s it. They don…t even have picnic tables here. [...]

"Treetops RV Village" in Arlington, Texas - was rated: 7

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

This is an older campground. If you like shade, this is the place since there are 2-3 trees on every site. Satellite does not work here. Since the campground has expanded cable, you don…t need satellite. It was a great location for four nights. It…s close to the Dallas Cowboy [...]
