"Peter’s Pond Park" in Sandwich, Massachusetts - was rated: 5

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

First of all, if you want a fire, forget it. You have to rent a propane “fireplace” because there is an ordinance against open fires; we were not told this when we checked in. The site we were given was terrible; it was all sandy with twigs and leaves on the site; it [...]

"Elite Resorts at Citrus Valley" in Clermont, Florida - was rated: 10

Stayed here right after Christmas for a few days. Excellent Park, facilities as advertised. We would recommend this park to our friends and we would stay here next time we are in the area.

"El Mirage OHV Recreation Area" in El Mirage, California - was rated: 6

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Dry camping only. There are “sites” which have a fire pit, barbecue and a covered picnic table. Dirt bike, ATV and UHV riding heaven. Also a well known location for sailplanes, remote controlled planes and cars as well as time trials. Day use fees have gotten quite high at $15/day, $30/week.

"Wall Doxey State Park" in Holly Springs, Mississippi - was rated: 9

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Wall Doxey is truly a treasure with its rustic appeal like many of the Civilian Conservation Corps constructed parks. The facilities were clean and the staff was very friendly. This park is highly recommended.

"Strawberry Park" in Preston, Connecticut - was rated: 9

Probably my only complaint about the park is that some of the sites are extremely difficult to back into. We were lucky that the campers across from our site were there to move their vehicle so that I could back in; I’m pretty experienced at driving my trailer around, so that was fortunate; I [...]

"Anaheim RV Village (formerly Travelers World RV Park & Camp)" in Anaheim, California - was rated: 8

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Park was clean and well managed. We were escorted to our site (one of the “Premium Pull-Throughs” as all others were booked). We also purchased propane (price was high but access was easy). All hookups were in good condition. Water had a strong chlorine smell. Wi-Fi was good, though signal [...]

"Alamo Fiesta RV Resort" in Boerne, Texas - was rated: 4

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

We spent the month of December at this park. We were quoted an incorrect price on the internet where we reserved our spot. The price for the internet was also misquoted and still is on their site. The power went off several times while we were there and finally they replaced wiring [...]

"Morro Dunes Travel Trailer Park & Resort Campground" in Morro Bay, California - was rated: 8

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Location, location: you are just across the street from the ocean. A very quiet area (don’t let the power plant or cement plant scare you. I’ve been here twice and never heard them). Morro Beach is a good location to just lay back and enjoy the coast and is a [...]

"Furnace Creek Inn & Ranch Resort" in Death Valley, California - was rated: 2

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

RV area was outside of main resort, along a perimeter fence behind an apartment building. It was a filthy spot in an ugly setting. The 30amp power was sporadic: likely due to high winds the night we were here. The office staff was overwhelmed during our checkout.
